Additional Information

The shelter has exceeded its capacity. For an indefinite period, ALSA does not have the human, material or monetary resources to welcome other rabbits.

If it is a rabbit adopted from the shelter, we take them in at all times, regardless of our level of traffic. This is our promise and we stick to it. Write to the volunteer who took care of your adoption.

Other options?

- Evaluate the primary reason for abandonment. Is it due to behavior and cleanliness? Sterilization largely resolves these hormonal problems. Also, by giving your rabbit as much space as possible in a protected environment ( bunnyproof ) + chewing toys and (especially) digging toys, you will see an improvement in a few weeks, which will give you hope for the rest of the evolution.

- Company/organization mandated in your region: Did you know that most municipalities offer the animal management contract to a shelter, SPA or SPCA? Check with your municipality. They are the ones who are responsible for welcoming your animal. Moreover, we have agreements with certain pounds to accommodate their rabbits intended for euthanasia.

- A family member or friend

- Do not put your domestic rabbit in nature , this is offering him false freedom and a predictable death. Know the real dangers to its survival: cold, food in winter, predators, etc.
